I've joined all the blocks together. The sashing fabric was actually for another project! Decided to change it to this since it matches with the colors on the blocks. I've added a 9-in border to make the vines applique. Hoping to complete this project by the end of the week!!! LOL

This is the fourth block....Silky Oak. When I first saw this Jacobean Rhapsodies at my friend's house, I really, really wanted to make one for myself! At first, I was unsure if I can mix and blend the colors but once the first block is completed, the other blocks are quite easy. I just have to follow that color combination of the first block!!! We'll have to wait and see once I piece the four blocks together, if there is a 'rhapsody'!!! LOL

This is my second block. It's called Lancaster Tulip. I tried to applique the leaves but I gave up because I couldn't get it to look like a leaf!!! So I used fusible web and had it blanket stitched!! I am enjoying mixing and blending the colors for this project. LOL Can't wait to start on the next block!!

Jacobean Rhapsody

Started this project after my Miri trip!! This project has four blocks and all the blocks have different patterns on them. This block is called Chelsea Wattle. I'm trying to get used to the idea of using contrasting colors instead of shades of just one color! I don't know if I made the right choice!! Hopefully the colors will all blend together!!

My Quilt!!!

Today I completed my quilt!!! I'm sooo happy!!! I made one for my hubby too but completed his months ago! I posted it on the blog under the heading "Luke's Quilt". I got a confession to make...I actually tried to machine quilt it. I've gone as far as diagonal lines and vertical lines on the quilt but didn't like it so I unpicked all it!! It was hard work taking out all the stitches!! But worth it because I still think hand quilting is nicer!!

When I went back to my hometown a few days ago, I met a group of quilting ladies. They are so talented!! They showed me their quilts and I was so impressed!! I hope they will start a blog and share their beautiful work with the rest of the blogging world!!
