Finished piecing all the blocks. Made 12 blocks but I dont think I will use all the blocks for the quilt. Thinking of using the blocks for the crib bumper as well.

Sewed, ironed, sewed, ironed.....

Piecing all the squares together.

These are the squares after joining all the fabrics.

The 2 in purple and white strips are sewed together then ironed and cut again into 2 in strips. These are sewed together to make squares. I also sewed all the triangles together. I did not use the easy triangles method. Instead I rotary cut 41/4 x 41/4 squares then cut them again into quarters before joining the different fabrics.

Cut out all the fabrics!

The printed animal fabric is the 'heart' of the pattern. The purplish and white triangles are the pointed stars and the light purple and white strips make up the 'trail'! That is the difference between the Ohio Trail and Ohio Star pattern.

Ohio Trail - Baby quilt

I know I have been away for some time but my mind is working on the next project! This time, I have to make a baby quilt, a diaper bag and bumper for a crib. I am using these four colors. I will start making the baby quilt first then hopefully have enough fabrics for the bag and the bumper! For the baby quilt, I will be using the Ohio Trail pattern.

I have been rather busy with CNY festivities the last two weeks. Had quite a few guests at home. I did, however, made another clothespin bag.
I hope to be making these in between my patchwork and quilting projects!!
