Disappearing Hour Glass (Greg's Quilt)

My Aunty Agnes, told me she made a very easy quilt using the Disappearing Hour Glass pattern. So I had a look into youtube.  I thought it was very interesting so I decided to try and make a quilt.  I what'sapp my nephew, Greg, to see if he wants a quilt.  He said....YES..  I then had to ask him his favourite colors and he came up with this combination!!!.. Red, Purple and Black...

All done!!  Did the same quilting as the other quilt.  Simple ditch and line quilting.

I used the same fabric for the squares and border.  This will make the solid colors pop out!!  Since this is a crib size quilt, I only need to use half of the table top to baste.  However, I used quite a lot of safety pins to pin the layers together.

Added a pink sashing and used the same square block print for the border.

I like how the colourful blocks became the centre of attraction rather than the middle square blocks.

Played around with the blocks and came up with this combination.
