Clothespin Bag No 5

This is bag no 5. I actually made this some time back and save it for times like this when I am a bit busy and have nothing to post!!!
Just a little info, my husband is getting better. Today, the doctor will harvest his stem cells and inject them into his knee. He will have to do this every week. I watched the whole procedure as the doctor insert a eight inch tube into his groin...errr I better not be too graphic!! LOL Anyways.. he is doing well!!!!

Green Bag Lady Project

My sister called me three days ago to help her make some gift bags. I actually told her I don't have time cos of my husband's surgery (he's surgery took 5 1/2 hrs yesterday. he's doing great! went for his first physio today!) But I just couldn't let her down so I decided to go ahead and help her. I went online to search for a bag pattern and I came across this blog: greenbaglady.blogspot.com She is giving away fabric bags that she made to people. She wants people to stop using plastic bags. I thought it's a great idea and since her website provide the pattern for the bag...well.. why not? I decided to include a simple write up about doing our part for the enviroment and the bag pattern in the gift bags. Hope this project will catch on here in this part of the world!!

Clothespin Bag No 4

Thought I'll post another one of the clothespin bag I made.
I will be busy again the next few weeks. Not on holiday though! My husband is going in for his fourth knee surgery. This time the doctor will put a donor ligament in. And inject stem cells after a week. He dreads the 4 hours of physiotherapy everyday that he has to do. This time the duration for his physio will be more than 8 weeks. So guess I will be doing applique blocks at the doctor's waiting room!!! ( I stay more than an hr's drive from the hospital so can't go home!!!)

Finished piecing the quilt top. I've added one border to it. It's a good idea sometimes to use lattice to enlarge a quilt without piecing extra blocks.

These are the lattice strips and the cornerstones. Decided to use only six blocks for the baby quilt.

Finished piecing all the blocks. Made 12 blocks but I dont think I will use all the blocks for the quilt. Thinking of using the blocks for the crib bumper as well.
